Know the phase.
Release the capacity.

Virtual Copper gives low-voltage networks the phase intelligence to target flexibility, balance load and unlock existing transformer headroom.

THE HIDDEN CONSTRAINT

The transformer is only
as free as its busiest phase.

Aggregate loading can look healthy while a single phase is approaching its limit. A phase can reach its current or voltage limit while the other phases still have room.

Knowing which customers share a phase helps networks choose where to reconnect load, target flexibility and investigate reinforcement. Virtual Copper connects that electrical context to action at the local transformer.

LOCATION MATTERS

Local flexibility.
Upstream benefit.

A broad flexibility signal spreads the response across the network. Targeting the constrained phase concentrates relief where it is needed, while also reducing demand along its upstream path.

Select a substation, feeder, transformer or phase to apply 10 kW of flexibility. Try GXP, then the highlighted phase TX1437x. Select again to sample another response.

Illustrative network and response, not measured performance. The model holds delivered flexibility at 10 kW and varies its downstream distribution. Upstream benefits assume coincident demand reduction on the same network path; losses and operating limits are not modelled.

VIRTUAL INFRASTRUCTURE

More network
from the network
already built.

01

Free transformer headroom

Reduce phase peaks that are hidden inside acceptable aggregate demand.

02

Target existing flexibility

Turn hot water, EV charging and batteries into location-aware network resources.

03

Defer physical upgrades

Use operational intelligence before committing to copper, civil works or larger transformers.

04

Plan with better evidence

Make phase-aware connection and reinforcement decisions as the LV network changes.

THE LOCAL NETWORK

Make existing
infrastructure work harder.

The fastest capacity upgrade may not be another transformer. It may be knowing how to use this one.
